Essential to human survival, plants provide oxygen, transportation, food, shelter, medicine, myth and ritual to people around the world. Using the vast and unique plant collection of the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory, journey through the gardens to discover some of the important roles that plants play in the environment and human societies. You will leave this class with ideas and resources for the exciting fields of economic botany and ethnobotany.
