What is considered "On Topic"?

The moderators of HSAdventures try to keep posts On Topic. The focus of HSAdventures is on organizing and announcing local homeschool events. When a homeschool event is announced, it can fill up fast, sometimes within a few hours, so we discourage people from subscribing to the Digest to avoid missing out on an opportunity. In return, we promise to work hard to keep posts to the list on topic.

Our primary foucs is …

Additionally, members may post about ...

  • Discounts available to homeschoolers
educator discount days, educator memberships, etc.
  • Evening or weekend events of interest to homeschoolers
e.g., seminars for homeschool parents, theatrical productions featuring homeschoolers, etc.
  • Local homeschool group openings and classes
  • Feedback or requests for feedback about local events or services
e.g., homeschooler friendly dance studios, useful library services, annual test advice, tutors and private instructors interested in working with homeschoolers, etc.

As an inclusive secular group, Homeschool Adventures does not promote events whose audience is members of a single religion. Individual members of the HSAdventures Yahoo Group may post about religious homeschool events provided that they clearly identify the religious nature of the event, but those events are not included on the website Calendar or shared via Facebook or Twitter. Non-homeschool religious events are not on-topic.
