What is the policy regarding frequency of reposts?

Event Announcements:

  • If you are a HSAdventures Organizer, you may repost your HSAdventures event as often as you need to do, however we recommend that you limit your reposting so as to not annoy our HSAdventures participants. Generally, most HSAdventures Organizers will send the original event notice and another reminder as the registration deadline approaches, but you may need to send corrections, changes, or additional information (such as answers to frequently asked questions), or you may want to send a plea for additional registrants if you are facing cancellation due to low registration numbers.

Before announcing your HSAdventures on another Yahoo Group, including that of our partner, ECHO-MN, we recommend that you ask permission from that Group’s Moderator(s) or at the very least check that Group’s posting policies.

  • We invite you to announce non-HSAdventures homeschool events once on the HSAdventures list. If the original announcement is more than 30 days before the registration deadline or event, you may also send either one registration reminder as the registration deadline nears or one event reminder shortly before the event. While you may announce important changes (such as date, time or location) to the group, additional updates should be sent directly to registered participants. If your event is facing cancellation due to low registration numbers, you may request one additional reposting as well.

Off Topic Post Frequency:

To keep the frequency of Off Topic posts low, we are unlikely to approve a posting more often than once a year, however, reposting of an Off Topic post must be approved by the Moderators first.
