Nestled along the shores of Silver Lake, Silverwood Park is unique in the metro area with its focus on arts and the environment. The park offers visitors an opportunity to relax in tranquil beauty and provides inspiration for artists. Stop in the coffee shop, bring an instrument and share your musical talents, or simply set-up your easel in the park to paint. Artists are welcome here! Trails offering spectacular views of Silver Lake, restored prairie, and mature oak forests circle the park and provide inspiration to all.

Homeschool Classes
Nature-inspired art classes taught by Silverwood staff and outside expert instructors are offered year-round. Sign up for a ceramics class, join in on a photo workshop, or expand your musical skills.

Field Trips
Silverwood’s staff of professional educators works with groups of all ages and abilities to teach environmental concepts through the creative arts. Whether your group wants to learn more about plants and fibers through a papermaking class, discover animal habitats through activities with clay, or document the local environment through photography, Silverwood has a class for you. Staff will also create custom opportunities to support specific curriculum goals.
Prices
2 hours or less: $6.25/participant
2 to 4 hours: $8/participant
4 or more hours: $10/participant
$75 minimum for groups. Adults assisting or chaperoning children are not charged unless actively participating in programs.
