The Saint Paul Conservatory of Music is a music education center offering a wide range of musical instruction for all ages, in both individual and group settings. The faculty is of the highest caliber, including artist/teachers with well-established reputations. The Conservatory has systematically developed a music program with demanding, yet age-appropriate expectations, with the ability to effectively teach the youngest of students as well as prepare those seeking to become music majors. The Conservatory is also able to meet the needs of students who are life-long learners of music and music appreciation.

Coffee Concert Series

The Saint Paul Conservatory of Music’s Coffee Concert Series is a lunchtime musical performance series that has been offered since 2003. Concerts are presented on the first Wednesday of each month from November through May. In keeping with the Conservatory’s motto to “enrich lives through the joy of music,” and as part of their efforts to increase accessibility for all populations to high quality music education and performance opportunities through their Music for All Program, all Coffee Concert performances are open and FREE to the public. They are followed by coffee, bagels and an opportunity to meet and talk with the performers.

Whether you’re a teacher or parent with students you’d like to expose to diverse musical styles, an activity coordinator at a recreation, rehabilitation or senior center, another musician seeking to expand your repertoire, or a professional looking for an enriching change of scene over the lunch hour, you’ll experience entertainment and artistic excellence at this free Concert Series.

Private Instruction

The Conservatory offers instruction to all ages that is designed to meet the needs of each student, taking into account the background of the individual, previous experience, and musical goals. Prospective students are interviewed and a careful assessment is made of each student's strengths and skills. Lessons are taught by established and recognized artist-teachers who actively perform in the Twin Cities.

The Conservatory subscribes to a comprehensive approach to musical studies, exposing students to the theoretical and historical aspects of music, as well as the joys of performing. This ultimately provides them with the basis for a lifetime of musical fulfillment. Studying within the context of a conservatory environment enables students to participate in recitals, repertoire classes, and ensemble experiences.
