Orton Gillingham Reading Therapist/Tutor

Subjects taught: I am an Orton Gillingham reading, writing, and spelling therapist specializing in helping struggling readers to crack the code of the English language to significantly enhance their ability to improve in these subject areas.  I provide private tutoring services to children who have challenges in reading, writing and spelling such as students with a diagnosis of Dyslexia.

Teaching style:  I use multisensory methods in the areas of visual, auditory and kinesthetic/tactile approach to help students master newly and previously taught skills.

Qualifications: Professionally trained in Orton Gillingham through the graduate program at Hamline University and Orton Gillingham of Minnesota.  Completed full practicum.  Masters in Social Work.  LGSW licensure through MN Board of Social Work.  Member of the International Dyslexia Association.

Experience:  Orton Gillingham private tutor providing individualized reading therapy to struggling readers.  Worked with elementary level English Language Learners.  

Class size: 
Minimum number of students:  I provide 1:1 tutoring to ensure high level of success for each student.  I am able to work with a group of 2-3 students if requested based on each of the student's reading level.

Age range or grade level taught: Children ages 7 - 13 years of age.

Geographic area: I provide tutoring services to families located in the eastern area of the Twin Cities such as, Woodbury, Stillwater, Mahtomedi, Lake Elmo, and the St. Croix Valley area.
